Ecocert specializes in COSMOS certification, which promotes eco-friendly and socially responsible practices in the skincare industry. This certification is awarded to natural skincare brands that adhere to strict standards for environmentally friendly production, responsible use of natural resources, respect for biodiversity, and the exclusion of petrochemical ingredients such as parabens, phenoxyethanol, perfumes and synthetic colourants, as well as GMOs. Additionally, the certification requires the use of recyclable packaging.

All of Isae Mie's skincare products have received Ecocert certification, meaning that they have been thoroughly scrutinized by the Ecocert team, from formulation to production and packaging. However, there are two product categories: Natural and Organic.

  • Production Techniques

The certification ensures that the production techniques used to create the cosmetic products are environmentally friendly and safe for consumers. To achieve this, recommended extraction techniques such as cold pressure, distillation, infusion, steam extraction, and crystallization are employed, while techniques such as ionizing radiation, ethoxylation, sulfonation, or treatments with mercury or ethylene are strictly prohibited.

  • Cruelty Free

Only the use of substances produced by live animals, such as milk or honey, is permitted, as long as no harm is caused to them or their ecosystem in obtaining them. COSMOS cosmetics do not contain substances or parts of dead animals and neither the product nor its components can be tested on animals.

  • Reused or Recycled

COSMOS certifications aim to ensure excellence in every aspect of a product's manufacturing process, packaging, and useful life. The certification encourages products to minimize their packaging and to ensure that any packaging used can be reused or recycled. Moreover, natural cosmetics manufacturers must meet sustainability criteria, such as utilizing clean energy and having a waste management plan in place.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 CERTIFIED - TEXTILES

LABEL FOR TEXTILES SUBJECTED TO TESTS FOR HARMFUL SUBSTANCES

The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate is the world's most widely used ecological label to guarantee that labelled textile products have been analyzed for more than 300 harmful substances. The certification is based on the catalogue of OEKO-TEX® criteria with a scientific basis and neutral laboratory tests, taking into account numerous regulated and unregulated substances that could be harmful to health and preventive parameters. In many cases, the limit values established for STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® exceed national and international requirements.

The types of products certified by the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate are grouped into four classes: Items that may be in direct contact with the skin for babies and children up to three years of age (underwear, bedding, towels, diapers, hygiene products, etc.) items in direct contact with the skin (underwear, bedding, t-shirts, socks, etc.) items that are not in direct contact with the skin (jackets, coats, etc.) and materials decoration (tablecloths, curtains, covers for upholstered furniture, etc.).

All Isae Mie linen textiles have this certification.
